RISER Project Announces 2nd Online Workshop to be held on Wednesday, November 27, 2024

We are excited to announce our 2nd online workshop set to take place on Wednesday, November 27th. Following the success of the 1st cloud workshop in November last year, which focused on cloud infrastructure management, security and confidential computing, this workshop will delve into RISER innovations and the future of energy-efficient, open-source cloud infrastructures.

This is a bright future that is being shaped by the combination of such innovations as RISC-V’s customizable and open-source architecture and ARM’s proven energy-efficient designs. These technologies, combined with advances in AI-driven management, edge computing, and open-source software stacks, will enable more sustainable, flexible, and cost-effective cloud environments. As cloud providers and enterprises increasingly prioritize energy efficiency and vendor neutrality, RISC-V and ARM-based solutions are poised to lead the next wave of innovation in the cloud.

The schedule for the workshop will be announced soon, with a series of tech-talks by members of the RISER consortium and some invited external speakers from related projects and initiatives. So stay tuned.
